I'm Learning

that pregnant women can get away w/ ANYTHING.

What?  You want to wear flip flops and a tank top to work when it's only 70 degrees outside?  Well okay.  We all know how pregnant women's feet swell (although yours haven't yet) and that while it's 70 degrees outside it feels like 100+ degrees inside (and the woman down the hall manages by wearing a sweater and socks and shoes).

So it's 9:50am and you want to eat lunch?  Well you ARE "eating for two" (even though the books say you really only need an additional 200 calories a day).

Don't you dare clean the bathroom tub or shower.  And don't even think about stepping foot near the kitchen sink.  Those cleaning products can be toxic (use baking soda and vinegar?  what are you a caveman?).

And you're right, with that growing belly of yours, you'd better just sit on the back deck and watch me do the yard work and pick up sticks.  Bending over really isn't what it used to be (and squatting certainly isn't an exercise you could practice in order to prepare yourself for labor).

Why yes, your very own personal assistant can bring you breakfast in bed.  Otherwise, you could spend the next 15 minutes dry heaving into the toilet.  What kind of cereal this morning, ma'am?

"Women" - "Pregnant Women"

Have you ever thought, "I wonder what Blake would look like as a woman?"

No?

Well how about, "I wonder what Blake would look like as a woman AND pregnant?"

Yeah, me neither but we get to see it anyway.

Have you Ever

Had one of those weekends that are just so great, you don't want it to end?

Do you ever cry because it's over?  And not because you're pregnant and hormonally imbalanced and happen to also cry when your husband does something as simple as getting you a towel after your shower?

I have.  It was a great weekend.  Filled with love, laughter, sunshine, family, and friends.

Congrats Jonathan and Lindsey!

Nursery Sneak Peak #2

Cloth Diapers

Blake and I have decided to go the cloth diaper route.  Primarily because we are cost conscious and if Blake wants to save a penny, he knows how to do it.  I bought a couple diapers and prefolds serveral weeks ago.

I was anxious to "try them out."
